Oatmeal Cookies

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. milk

(Beat until creamed and then add:)

3 c. quick oats
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Mix at low speed just until blended. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes

Feel free to add in any mix-ins you want (chocolate chips, nuts, raisins, etc.)
